Our Ministries

The Newport Baptist Church actively serves the local body, community, and others abroad through:

Children's Church

Children, ages 6-11 remain with their parents throughout the Sunday morning service except during the sermon. Prior to the message, the children gather in a separate room to hear a biblically based message which is geared toward their age. Participation in Children’s Church is left to the parents’ discretion.

The Missions Committee

Our church encourages, prays for and supports missionaries in the United States and other countries.

Music Ministries

The church choirs (youth and adult) and soloists share their musical gifts during our worship services and other special events.

Prayer Chain

A group of dedicated believers within the church avails themselves every day for immediate intercessory prayer as emergencies and sudden needs arise. All prayer requests submitted to those who serve on the chain are kept confidential.

Woman's Bible Study

Twice a month the ladies of the church meet to study God's word, pray for needs, and encourage on another.

Ladies Creative Fellowship

Several women in the church meet twice per month for fellowship and to participate in a variety of sewing / quilting projects.

Other Activities

Pot Luck Dinners: On the last Sunday of every month (Sept-June) our church family gathers together after morning worship for a meal.

Church Bowling: Each fall, from September - May the congregation paticipates in its own league.

We conduct an Easter morning sunrise service and breakfast, talent night, Christmas banquet and candle light service, picnics, car washes, and other services and social events.
